I remember when people visited and Joan would stop by often , I recall staying at the farm and Joan getting home after work, there was a story about a pressure cooker one time that still gets told :) SHE was GREAT

What a wonderful tribute to Joan. Our thoughts are with you all in your loss. Joan was a dear woman I have known from my childhood. She spent many years in our church family. She was tough as nails and had a heart of gold. It was so nice to see her again when our ladies group got together for a reunion lunch earlier this year. She will be missed.

Brian, that is a lovely tribute. No one is ever ready to lose their mom, but especially this time of year, the sadness can be pronounced. I think our families' paths have crossed in the Havelock area. My grandmother was Hilda Sketchley, who lived on the Keith Road, and I remember her talking about Allison Taylor. So Sorry for the loss of your mother / grandmother /Friend Joan was and always be my second Mom See took me under her wing when I was 18 years old When we worked together at Black's I Loved her dearly and her kind words always helped when I needed someone to help me through a difficult time Now who is going to tell me not to work to hard Dear and I would always say I won't (even knowing I would )I guess now we have another Angel to look after us
