Obituary of Peggy Goodwin

Peggy Elizabeth Goodwin Dec 21/32 – Apr 7/23

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Peggy Elizabeth Goodwin (nee Allen) on April 7, 2023 at the age of 90. Peggy left this world peacefully at the Sackville Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Peggy, who went by many names – Aunt Peg, Gram, Great Gram, Mom and Pegomyheart, is survived by her son Alan (Marlene), granddaughters Tara LeBlanc (Bermont) and Willow Walker (James), great grandchildren Grayson and Riley LeBlanc, Chloe and Callie Walker and step great grandchildren Mardi and Carley Walker.

She is also survived by brothers Cecil, Bud, Bill (Sharon) and sister Betty Stright and many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. She was predeceased by her loving husband Lorne, brother Gordon and sister Marjorie Goodwin.

Peggy had a great love for her family and enjoyed a good card game and a Molson Canadian beer (she always said lite beer was for wimps!). She was a Port Elgin girl through and through and was proud of her community.

We would like to send our love and appreciation to Uncle Bud and Shawn and Marie Callaghan for going above and beyond and allowing Peggy to stay in her own home as she wished. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Donations in memory of Peggy to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
