We were saddened to hear of Ottie's passing. We knew he was in hospital again and not doing so well. He was a gentleman in every way. Deepest sympathy to his family.

Very sorry to hear of ottys passing .great friend of my dads espically many childhood memories of the old wood sawing frolics held at home artie perry ,harry white ,fred straight and more.
I use to help the boys doing haying and remember him playing 63'sat mom and dads and going to the community card parties and who could forget (liars bench) at the store when the gang would gather to tell the tall tales..lol when there 3 stores in the village and the crew would move from store to store and the stories grew longer at every move...not many of the good ones left...RIP otty

Very Sad to hear of Otty’s passing , I will always remember Otty for giving us kids a ride home on cold winter nights from the Narrows rink . Over the years I’ve had some great visits with Otty most recently in the hospital not long ago . And of course we came away laughing about Otty telling about some of the poor performing cars he had over the years . Rest In Peace Otty , we are going to miss you ! Christian Carpenter.

Was sad to hear about Otty. Otty and the rest of the family were great friends of my parents when I was growing up and always remember visiting at Christmas to their home and it wasnt Christmas until Otty and Harry both made their annual visits and spent time around the wood stove chatting , eating goodies that mom had made and the odd time I would get them to play a game with me that I had got from Santa. Somewhere we have some photos of the men of the community helping out with sawing and cutting each others winter wood or putting in the summer hay crop.
I have many cute funny stories but they would have to be shared at a different time and place but great memories of a great friend of our family and especially my dad Robert <3
