We just learned of Jim's passing!
Please accept our sincere condolences.
We first met Jim at Brudenell Golf Course just after he retired.
Over the years, we played a lot of golf with him, and always enjoyed the banter and stories!
When Jim and Sheila sold their property in PEI, we continued to visit with them in their beautiful home in Snyder Mt, and then in their retirement home in Sussex. We always enjoyed having tea and lunch with them.
We have a lot of great memories of our time together.
We will miss him!!
Sincerely
Lyman and Norma Douglas

To Robert and all Jim’s family. Was so saddened today when I learned of Jim’s passing. He dropped into The Tearoom often when I was there. He was a force from the moment he came through the door till he left. Always a laugh! Roger enjoyed his visits to the woodlot. How wonderful it was for you to come and stay with Jim so he could be at home. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all!

We will all miss your dad- he was a man of many talents! We will cherish our memories of times shared with your mum and dad after we all moved back to Sussex when we all retired.
Thanks to you Rob that his last few years were made possible for him to stay in his home when you came to be with him after your mother died four years ago. With love. Ron and Audrey

From Edna & Les Hackett’s kids. Mom and Dad always talked so fondly of those days in Marville, France. Dad especially would tell these fantastic stories of flying Sabres as young kids with the likes of Jim, Clancy, Doug et al on 441 (F) Squadron. They all grew up together, joined Air Canada together and now, sadly, most of them are gone (our Mom and Dad included). What an incredible journey they all had, such great adventures and friendships through the years. We are so sorry for your loss. Per Ardua Ad Astra

Sorry to read of Jim's passing. My dad was a pilot with Air Canada - Cpt. J Stewart Ruddick. Mom (Kay) & dad always went to the retirement luncheons. Dad passed in 2005 & then when I moved mom back to Hampton, I took mom to the luncheons until her passing in 2016, where I met Jim & Sheila & the other retirees. Mom & dad enjoyed the gatherings. My deepest condolences to Jim's families.

Jim McQueen was one of a kind. A friend to everyone. A solid pilot and an inspiration to many who flew with him which unfortunately, because of our similar seniority I never got to do but made up for that on layovers.
Smooth flight west Jim.

During the time that I flew the DC-9 in Montreal, I worked with Jim many many times, and I especially remember the layovers in Saint John New Brunswick. I was a brand new First Officer when I first met him, and I would always look forward to our next flight together. He was a real "people person" and all the crews loved to fly with him. Never a dull moment. Thanks for being a great Captain and mentor, and thanks for the memories. Jim McQueen was "one of a kind". Condolences to his family.

Flew the 9 with Jim. Sharp operater. Had a memorable experience with him over the Bay of Fundy, searching 500 feet above the water for a ditched Mooney... in a DC/9. Fastest ramp checks in the history of Air Canada. This Country needs more like him.

Sincere condolences to all of the family. Jim was a friend from high school and along with Donna Jean and Doug was always most kind to a younger school mate. Just a gentleman and kind to all of the younger students---- except when he was throwing snowballs. Just a fond memory from school days.
