Obituary of Warren Ford Waldo Tabor

It is with great sadness that the family of Warren Ford Waldo Tabor announces his passing, which occurred on November 12, 2023 at the Sussex Health Centre at the age of 85.

Born in Hillsdale, NB, on July 18, 1938, he was a son of the Late John and Jenny (Gray) Tabor.

Warren married the love of his life, Mary in 1961 and together they would build a life and family together for 58 years until her passing in 2020.

Warren enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a hardworking man, who worked as a mechanic his whole life. He could always be found working in his garage, from sun up to sun down. His home-based garage was a staple of the community where many visits and conversations took place.

If he wasn’t spending his days in the garage, you could most likely find him four wheeling or snowmobiling the trails with his family. His love of the outdoors was always evident, and he loved to attend music jams.

Warren loved his children to the core and was extremely thankful for everything they had done for him especially since Mary was admitted to the nursing home.  He always had a soft spot for his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His eyes would light up anytime you were around.

Warren was always smiling and loved to give hugs. His smile and laugh were contagious, and you just could not help but be happy around him. He will be missed by so many but memories of his ever-glowing personality will live on.

Warren is survived by his children: Warren Tabor Jr. (Lisa Bonnell) of Hammondvale, NB and Patty McLean (Wellington), also of Hammondvale, NB; his grandchildren: Tyler McLean and Miranda McShane (Travis); his great grandchildren: Colt and Lillian McLean and Peyton and Lydia McShane; his partner, Bunny Sherwood of Sussex; his brothers: Russell Tabor of Sussex, NB, and William Tabor (Dianne) of Hillsdale, NB; and his sisters: Hilda Meehan of Sussex, NB, and Doreen Pierce of McAdam, NB. Warren is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Warren was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary (Cummings); his brothers: Ashley, Glendon, and Howard; and his sisters: Olga Snider and Margorie Tabor.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where a visitation will take place on Thursday, November 16 from 2-4; 6-8pm. A celebration of Warren’s life will take place on Friday, November 17 at 2:00pm from the Wallace Community Chapel.

Donations in memory of Warren may be made to the Lung Association, the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences to the family and donations may be made through wallacefuneralhome.com
