Elda Gertrude March was born in Wirral, Queens Co. NB on April 28, 1911 ; she was the daughter of the late Silas and Mary Jane (Hoyt) Kirkpatrick and the wife of the late Harvie March who passed away in 1972. Elda graduated from Provincial Normal School and taught in New Brunswick schools and worked on their farm. She was a member of St. John's United Church , where she was a member of the Church Choir, taught Sunday school, was an Elder and Member of the Session. Elda was a life member of the UCW and a member of the Women's PC Association. Elda held many offices in the St. John
