Obituary of Danny Tait

It is with heavy hearts, the family announces the death of Daniel Murray Tait of Penobsquis, NB on Friday, December 22, 2023. He was born on September 25, 1963. He was the son of the late Murray & Margaret Tait.

He is survived and much loved by his sisters and their families; Nancy, Mike, Matthew, Stephanie, Maisie, Milo, Ben, Alannah, Christopher, and Casey; Janice, Erika, Marc, Andrew, Nicole, Miley, Connor & Dominic.

Thanks to his nieces and nephews who looked forward to “Uncle Dan Jokes,” we will be sharing them forever.

He will also be fondly remembered by his many cousins and friends who enjoyed his stories on their visits to the farm.

Once a friend to Danny, you were a friend for life. He would walk (or drive the tractor) a country mile in a snowstorm to help a friend, never asking or wanting anything in return.

As a dedicated farmer, he wore many hats; mechanic, plumber, woodsman, veterinarian, the list goes on and his knowledge was endless.

A visit or a phone call always ended with “have you got time for another story?”

Facebook was not something Danny needed or wanted. With the never-ending line of half-tons, the milk truck, cattle truck and more that drove up that long driveway at the farm. He always had time for a chat no matter what he was doing when the “barnyard company” arrived.

Arrangements are in the kind and caring hands of Wallace Funeral Home 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex NB. 506-433-1176 from where visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 6-8pm and Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 12-2pm. A Celebration of Danny’s life will be immediately following at 2pm.

Memorial donations in memory of Danny can be made to the Red Cross, the Breakfast Program for a local school or to a local organization of the donors choice. Personal condolences to the family and donations may be made through wallacefuneralhome.com
