Obituary of Alex Cook

Alex Colby Cook was born in Saint John on September 24, 1986. He was born to Martin Cook and Anne (Linden) Cook.

The only words that could properly describe Alex are "There he goes, one of God's own prototypes, some kind of high powered mutant never to be considered for mass production. Too weird to live and too rare to die," Hunter S. Thompson.

From him, we all learned so much about  living and enjoying life “to the extreme.” Whether he was hiking out to the bluff in a blizzard or climbing a cell phone tower.

He inspired all those around him to do their best and not give up. He had a big heart and a love of nature. His need to help people led him to a  career in the military. Everyone that knew him had some sort of wild adventure with him.

Cook knew no fear, only the fear of failure and that’s what drove him to succeed. There was nothing he would not or could not do. He set out to conquer the world. His spirit will live on in our hearts and memories.

Lest we forget our friend, our brother, Alex Cook.  “Live everyday like its your last,” Alex Cook.

Alex will live on in the hearts of his father, Martin and Diana and by his mother, Anne; his sister, Codi-Jo; his maternal grandmother, Agnes Linden; his paternal grandparents: Wally and Audrey Cook; his aunt, Wanda Linden of Saint John and Cindy Cook of Sussex and by his three cousins, Jesse, Brandon and Luke.

Alex Colby Cook passed away on October 10, 2007 at the age of 21.

Alex was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Harry Linden and by his Uncle, David Linden.
