Obituary of Helen Irene Theriault

It is with great sadness that the family of Helen Irene Theriault announce her passing, which occurred on February 5, 2024, at the Primrose Cottage Special Care Home in Lower Millstream. Born in Sussex, NB, on June 15, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Bessie (Dyer) Grady.

Helen was the last member of her immediate family. She is survived by her children: Richard Trites (Lori) of Sussex, NB, Mike Trites (Jean) of Belleisle Creek, NB, and Debbie Snyder (Hugh) of Norton, NB; her grandchildren: Holly Sturgeon (Jason), Adam Snyder (Jenn); her step-grandchildren: Sean and James; her great-grandchildren: Brooke, Madeleine, and Anna. Helen is also survived by her niece, Janet Rowe (Michael) and her nephews: Bruce Ricketson (Cathy), Stephen Ricketson (Rose), and Terry Surrett (Judy).

Along with her parents, and her husband, Valmond, Helen was predeceased by her brother: Sam Grady; her sisters: Reta Surrett and Margaret Ricketson; her infant siblings, James and Faye; and her nephew, Darrel Ricketson.

The family of Helen would like to thank Lynn Wallace and all the staff and residents of Primrose Cottage Special Care Home for all the love and kindness they have shown to their Mom for the last 4 years.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where a visitation will take place on Thursday, February 8 from 6-8pm. A graveside service will take place later in the spring.
