Obituary of Tom Parlee

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas Joseph Parlee, alongside his beloved wife, Nina, on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at his cherished camp. Born in Werl, West Germany, on April 8, 1956, he was the beloved son of Helen (Murray) and the late James (Jim) Parlee.

Tom found joy in life's simple pleasures, like fixing things in his garage and cooking in the kitchen. He loved bringing family and friends together for meals and laughter. His mornings were brightened by playing cards with Nina, his wife, and sometimes their loved ones. Outdoors, Tom enjoyed biking, snowmobiling, and Sunday drives. He adored teaching his grandchildren about trucks and tractors.

Tom's mischievous sense of humor and playful teasing made him dear to everyone around him. His laughter was infectious, leaving behind a legacy of happiness and love.

Tom will be deeply missed by his daughters, Melissa Mason of Newtown, NB, and her children, Makayla, Ella, Medley, and Whalen; Jennifer Parlee of Sussex, NB, and her children, Jackson and Braydon; his son, Jason Parlee (Natasha) of Wards Creek, NB, and their children, Gianna, Arianna, Riley, and Isabelle; his brothers: Ronnie Parlee (Cres) of Toronto, ON; Bob Parlee (Ann) of Waterford, NB; Dan Parlee (Susan) of Sussex, NB; and Jack Parlee (Louise) of Apohaqui, NB; his sister, Susan Parlee of Sussex, NB; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his father, Tom was predeceased by his sister, Mary Jane Goddard.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176). Visitation will be held on Friday, June 14, from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at Wallace Funeral Home.  His life will be celebrated alongside his beloved wife, Nina, on Sunday, June 16, at 11:00 am from the Wallace Community Chapel. Donations in memory of Tom may be made to Crohn's and Colitis Canada or a charity of the donor's choice. Personal condolences to the family and donations may be made through wallacefuneralhome.com.

The family invites those who knew and loved Tom to celebrate his life, share memories, and remember the beautiful moments shared with him. Following the funeral, a gathering will be held at Tom and Nina's home, 6718 Route 111, Newline, NB.
