Obituary of Shirley Hicks

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Shirley Mabel Hicks announce her passing at the Moncton City Hospital on August 14, 2024 at the age of 88.

Born in Quebec on April 18, 1936; she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Dorothy (Taylor) Cole and the wife of the late Roland Maurice Hicks who passed away in 2003.

She will live on in the hearts of her daughter, Brenda Knight of Moncton; her sisters: Marjorie Arsenault of Sussex, Betty Mason of Sussex and Gladys Parisi of Portland, OR; her grandsons: Trevor and Ian Humphrys; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and loving husband, she is predeceased by her son, Bruce Hicks, her infant daughter, Lori Anne; her brothers: Donald, Robert, Frank, Rod, Bliss and Philip Cole and by her sisters: Verna Pearson, Beatrice Anderson, Alma Cole and Isabel Masters.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 1-5pm. The interment will take place immediately following in the Gosline Cemetery, Knightville, NB.
