Obituary of Richard Eules Smith

It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Richard Eules Smith announce his passing on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at the Sussex Health Centre. Born in Sussex, NB on November 20, 1963, he was a son of Lorna May (Brayley) and the late Eules Edmond Smith.

Richard will live on in the hearts of his mother, Lorna Smith of Apohaqui, NB; his brothers: Curtis Smith of Apohaqui, NB, Michael Smith of Searsville, NB, Joe Smith (Tina) of Sussex Corner, NB, Andrew Smith (Sandi) of Apohaqui, NB; his sisters: Julie Narbonne (Stephane) of Shawinigan, QC, and Janet Vanderlaan (George) of Penobsquis, NB; his nieces and nephews: Jonathan, Jessica, and Benjamin Narbonne; Steward, Jesse, Eules, and David Vanderlaan; Sam Abigail, and Olivia Smith; and Taylor, Keltie, and Brayley Smith. Richard is also survived by several great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Richard was predeceased by his father, Eules Smith.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where a visitation will take place on Saturday, September 7 from 6-8pm. A visitation will also take place on Sunday, September 8 from 1-2pm from Calvary Church (384 St George St, Sussex), followed by a Celebration of Richard’s life at 2:00pm.
