Obituary of Burton Riedle
Burton Alfred Riedle was born in Mt. Hebron on June 22, 1925, he was the son of the late Alfred and Bertha (Cook) Riedle. Burton was a husband, father, grandfather, great grand father, uncle, neighbour and friend. He was a farmer and a former employee of the Department of Transportation where he drove everything from snow ploughs to various trucks. He loved his family, his horses, his cat Blacky and his dog Princess. He enjoyed his garden, going for Sunday drives, haying, cutting wood and spending time in his woodshed. Burton kept himself busy but would find the time to take part in a good conversation, whether it was about horses, trucking or the garden he just planted. Burton is survived by Elizabeth Margaret (Briggs) his beloved wife of 52 years, his daughter: Darlene Coates and her husband Lloyd of Cornhill, NB two sons: Brian of Keirstead Mt. and Albert Hansford and Melinda Rankin of Picadilly ; four grandchildren: Fred, Donald, Crystal and Rob, two great grandchildren: Riley and Skye; two step-grandchildren: Kyle and Lyndsy, his sister, Ethyl Long of Sussex, as well as several nieces and nephews. Burton was predeceased by two sisters: Dorothy Robinson in 2003 and Helen Cosman in 2005.
