Obituary of Walter Higgins

Walter Edward Higgins of Sussex passed away on October 2, 2024 at the Veterans Health Unit in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Walter served overseas during WWII from 1943-1946 

Walter was born on December 27, 1923, to Walter and Florence {Conners} Higgins Sr., in Truro, N.B. 

Walter, over his working year, was employed by Wallace Manufacturing, varies , Sussex and  area Saw Mills, Glendale Homes, Trites Chicken Farm, Bethany Bible Collage, retiring in 1988. 

Walter is survived by his sister Sandra Keirstead of California. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, Sussex, N.B. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday October 15th, followed by guest visitation and reception.  Burial at Kirk Hill Cemetery. 

Walter is the last founding member of the Sussex Wesleyan Church
