Obituary of Eric Brown

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Eric William Brown announce his passing on October 10, 2024 at the Kiwanis Nursing Home at the age of 61.

He was born in Sussex, NB on February 19, 1963; he was the son of Gertie (Brown) Thomas.

Eric was a man with a brilliant smile and a contagious laugh. He loved to tell stories, joke and make people laugh. He was an encouraging father who pushed his children to better themselves and challenge themselves in everything they loved to do.

He was a free spirit living each day to the fullest. Eric was incredibly smart and went through school with honors without ever cracking a book. He was hardworking and loved to spend his time working on cars and greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing and time spent outdoors.

He will live on in the hearts of his children: Sally Brown of Ontario, Sandra Brown (Joseph Pelletier) of Notre Dame, Crystal Presley (Sean) of Ontario and Johnathan Brown of Ontario; the mother of his children, Margaret MacDonald of Ontario; his grandchildren: Alex, Alexandra, Joshua, Julius, Danielle, Darius, Kyla and Carson; his brothers: Glendon Thomas (Jennifer Brooks) and Jason Smith (Cherie); as well as several extended family members.

Along with his mom, Gertie; he is predeceased by his brother, David Thomas; his nephew, Parker; his son-in-law, Scott Presley and his sister-in-law, Stephanie Thomas.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). Eric was laid to rest in Riverbank Cemetery, Riverbank, NB.
