Obituary of Russell James Tabor

It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Russell James Tabor announce his passing on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the Kiwanis Nursing Home in Sussex, NB. Russell was born in Hillsdale, NB on March 19, 1935, and was a son of the late John and Jenny (Grey) Tabor.

Russell will live on in the hearts of his daughter, Janet Gregg of Knightville; his three sons: Bernie and his wife Sandra of Apohaqui, Bryant and his wife Bonny, also of Apohaqui and Edward of Hillsdale; his seven grandchildren: Katelyn Horton (Leon), Michelle Biddington (Stephen), Michael Tabor (Brittany), Samantha Fillmore (Adam), Trevor Tabor (Kira), Ashlee Gregg, and Jenna Gregg (Josh); and  his great grandchildren: Spencer, Sophia, Elouise, Everett, Logan, and Isabella; his brother, William (Dianne); and his sisters, Hilda Meehan and Doreen Pierce. Russell is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Russell was predeceased by his wife, Isabella; his brothers: Ashley, Glendon, Warren, and Howard; his sisters: Olga Snider and Margorie Tabor, and his son-in-law, William.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where a visitation will take place on Monday, October 21 from 10am-1pm. A Celebration of Russell’s Life will follow at 1:00pm from the Wallace Community Chapel.
