I am so so very sad to hear of the passing of my old friend Bernie. I had the privilege of being one of his good friends back in the days of our youth. Bernie and Joan and I shared an apartment overlooking West Street in Corner Brook and oh if those walls could talk! It was the best of times. Bernie was such a cheerful charming person and a gift to those lucky enough to be around him. Rest in peace my friend.

Mark,I’m so sorry for your loss,and so sorry you have to face life with this kind of wound.I don’t have any answers,no magic words.
No one can take away your pain grief drains most words of their power,your heart feels frozen it’s exhausting!When I received the call about Bernard I went in shock and I’m still in shock.We had many laughs and yes many disagreements.Bernard was very adventurous as a child he loved bugs,one day he took a fish tank and made a home for ants and spent days observing them.
He loved animals never wanted to hunt just observe.It was no surprise he chose a vocation managing a Salmon Farm.They were his babies and he loved his job.
We shared many conversations and pictures of flowers we were both gardeners.I will miss your calls Bernard,I will miss the pictures and I will miss you.I know you are now with your Mom and Lisa that gives me comfort Bernard but saying goodbye is one of life’s most difficult tasks.Love always Aunt Elaine.

I’m so sorry to hear about Bernie’s passing. He was a good friend to all. We are left with so many fond memories hanging out in the 80’s, going on his motorcycle, spending time at his parents cabin in Trout River, hiking and just having a good time. Rest in peace Bernie. My condolences to Mark, his dad and his family and friends.

So so Sorry to hear of my best friends passing. We started Kindergarten together and were friends all the way up through school. Every time he came home for a visit we'd meet up. We created some awesome memories, too many to mention. He was my confidant, my protector and always a true friend. I will miss you dearly Bernard...To Israel, I'm lost for words and I know you'll miss him dearly. To Mark, I never met you, but from what he told me , you made him happy. That's all that matters!! Dear Mark. I was so shocked and saddened to hear about Bernie. He was the nicest guy and I know you will miss him dearly.
