Obituary of Olive Sharp
Olive Elizabeth Gaunce was born in Millstream on March 28, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Susie Alice (Folkins) Gaunce and was the wife of the late Elmer Sharp who passed away in 1995. She enjoyed her garden, knitting, sewing and quilting. Olive is survived by two daughters: Carole McCorkle and her husband Ken of Queenstown and Deanna Mason and her husband Robert of Berwick Rd.; two sons: David and his wife Sherry of Roachville and Tim Sharp and Stephanie Killiam of Moncton; nine grandchildren: Jeanette Stephens and her husband Ken of Nova Scotia, Troy Mason and his wife Jeannette of Cumberland Rd. Adam Mason and his wife Nathalie of St-Sauveur, Quebec, Tara Dalling and her husband Shawn of Waterford, Tyler Mason and his wife Terri of Berwick Rd., Lynn Wallace and her husband Bill of Sussex, Stephen Sharp and his wife Valerie of Marshall Hill, Lisa Brown and her husband Seamus of Roachville and Michael Sharp of Roachville; 20 great grandchildren: Mark, Michael, Chelsea, Zachary, Geordie, Nathaniel, Taneesha, Miranda, Brice, MacKenzie, Alex, Charli, Samuel, Emma, Natalie, Kyle, Alicia, Sophia, Rebecca and Caragh; her special daughter-in-law, Bertha Cosmanof Sussex Corner; as well as several nieces and nephews. Olive was the last surviving member of her immediate family, she is predeceased by her son, Cyril; six brothers: Lloyd, Walter, Borden, Kenneth, Donald and Herbert; and by three sisters: Francis Coggan, Lottie Hingley and Helen Horton. Mrs. Olive Elizabeth Sharp of Mason Lane, Berwick Rd. passed away peacefully at the Sussex Health Centre, surrounded by her family on June 20, 2007 at the age of 96 as she awaits the return of the Lord. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Saturday June 23, 2007 at 11:00am. The committal service will take place at Wesley United Cemetery, Berwick. There will be a time of fellowship with the family at Millstream Recreation Centre following the Committal Service.
