Shirley Irene Maston was born in Coles Island on September 12, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Erman and Ethel (McKnight) Ryder and was the wife of the late Burton Maston who passed away in 1994. Shirley loved all types of music, she especially enjoyed listening to the fiddle and attending the Country Jamborees. Shirley is survived by three sons: Richard and his wife Cathy of Waterford (Alberta), Darrell and Elizabeth of Sussex, Randy and Anise of Cambridge-Narrows; her sister, Doris Mason and her husband Ken of Berwick; three grandchildren; Ian, Pam and Dylan; three great granddaughters: Myranda, Ryanna and Lanna; as well as several nieces and nephews. Shirley was predeceased by her daughter, Linda, her son, Malcolm, her granddaughter, Cassandra and her brother, Vernon Ryder. Shirley Irene Maston of Primrose Cottage, Lower Millstream, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on May 26, 2007 at the age of 74. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Sunday 2-4, 7-9. The Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Monday, May 28, 2007 at 11:00 am. The interment will take place at Coles Island Cemetery.
