Harold Wellington Fawcett of McKellar Special Care Home, Bonney Rd. Nauwigewauk was born in Carsonville on November 28, 1916 to Belding and Belle (McKnight) Fawcett. He worked on the farm with his father and took the farm over after his father retired. Harold married Dorothy Rouse in 1945 and they were together for over 51 years until her death in 1996. They began their life together and raised five children on the family farm in Carsonville, their life was centered around the farm and their family. Harold worked in the lumber camps in the winter as many local farmers did at that time. He loved to talk about the woods, the men he worked with and his horses. He had one of the first television sets in Carsonville
