Obituary of Marjorie Pagett

Marjorie Gertrude Pagett of McKenna Ave. Sussex passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on April 21, 2007 at the age of 96.

Born in Lower Cove on December 10, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Colpitts and Georgie (Reid) Kaye and the wife of the late Joseph Arthur Pagett who passed away in 1972.

Marjorie was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Marjorie retired from teaching in 1974. She taught for many years in Markhamville and Hammondvale. She was a member of the Retired New Brunswick Teachers Association, Knox United Church, where she was the organist for over 60 years and a past member of the UCW.

Marjorie is survived by her son, Ernest Pagett and wife Sylvia of Markhamville; three daughters: Doris Buchanan and Husband Eldon of Rockville, Joan Doherty and husband Joe of Apohaqui, Carol Floyd and husband Clifford of Apohaqui; her sisters-in-law, Jean Kaye of Sussex, Glenna Kaye of Jacksonville, Fl and Jean Kaye of Sussex Corner, 10 Grandchildren: Brian Buchanan and his wife Kathy, Bruce Buchanan, Bradley Buchanan and his wife Vicki, Britta Belliveau and her husband Dennis, Sandra Doherty, Larry Doherty and his wife Jackie, Stephen Doherty, Darlene O'Donnell and her husband Andrew, Donna Floyd, Elizabeth Phillips and her husband Evan; 12 Great Grandchildren: Jamie, Mark, Evan, Brandon, Nathan, Aidan, Jessica, Joseph, Emily, Isaac, Tanya and Jennifer; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Marjorie was predeceased by her sister Doris Hoyt, five brothers: Elvin, Wesley, Roy, William and Walter Kaye and by her daughter-in-law, Freda (Crawford) Pagett who passed away in 1990.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, and (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm.

The Funeral Service will be held from St. John's United Church on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Eugene fisher officiating.

The interment will take place at Trinity Cemetery. There will be a time of fellowship with the family in the St. John
