Obituary of Sadie Cooper
Mrs. Sadie Cooper of Arlington, Massachusetts, USA passed away at her residence on April 8, 2007 at the age of 85.
Born in Derby, England on April 10, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Lucy (Brodi) Wibberley and was the wife of the late Murray Cooper who passed away in 2002.
Sadie has resided in Arlington, Massachusetts for the past 28 years and previously she resided in Somerville for over 22 years. She was a veteran of WWII serving with the Royal Air Force in Great Britain. She was a member of the Daughters of Scotia in Burlington, Ma, USA. Her greatest joy in life was her children, grandchildren and the expectation of her first born great grandchild. She was known as Grandma to everyone. She enjoyed handicrafts, quilting and sewing and could make anything.
Sadie is survived by her daughter, Georgina Cooper of Arlington, Ma, two sons: Wayne and his companion Marie of Arlington Ma, Ian and his wife Kathy of Rothesay, her daughters-in-law, Cheryl and Sandra of Massachusetts; seven grandchildren Wayne, Nena, Rhiannon, Daniel, Ian and Kristin, John and Katie, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Sadie was predeceased by her son Daniel who passed away in 1980 and a grandson Murray.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), There will be a time of visitation at the church prior to the Funeral Service. The Funeral Service will be held from Head of Millstream Wesleyan Church on Thursday at 1:00pm, with Pastor Peter Hayes officiating. The interment will follow in the Wesleyan Church Cemetery.
