Obituary of Hazel Lord

Mrs. Hazel Mildred Lord of Roachville, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on March 27, 2007 at the age of 89.

Born in Sussex on February 16, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Ada (Makepeace) Coates and was the wife of the late Roy Lord who passed away in 1980.

Hazel enjoyed bingo, puzzle books, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and sitting on her swing on her back deck.

Hazel is survived by her four daughters: Barb Walsh and her husband Mike of Roachville, Donna Middleton and husband Avard of Anagance, Linda Murray of Sussex, Debbie Murphy and her husband Lewis of Smith Creek; her son, Stanley Lord and his wife Dawn of Sussex; her sister, Mabel Campbell of Saint John; two sisters-in-law: Dorothy Coates of Sussex and Dorothy Lee of St. George; her brother-in-law, Alden Lord of Back Bay; 16 grandchildren: Shelley, David, Matthew, Jason, Krista, Tammy, Tracy, Bruce, Jeff, Pat, Trevor, Tania, Tina, James, Lacey and Mark; 14 great grandchildren: Chelsie, Kyle, Abby, Holly, Ryan, Jessica, Britany, Sydney, Jordan, Justine, Mitchell, Jillian and Tanner; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Hazel is predeceased by her brothers: Albert, Harold, Stanley, George and Murray and by her sisters: Grace, Jean and Dorothy.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm.

The Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Friday, March 30, 2007 at 11:00 am with Rev. Philip Dallimore officiating.
