Obituary of Kirk Wheaton
Mr. Kirk Douglas Wheaton of Smith Creek, NB, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on January 30, 2007 at the age of 54. Born in Moncton on January 12, 1953, he was the son of Bernice (Douthwright) Wheaton of Sussex and the late Leonard Wheaton who passed away in 1992. Kirk is survived by his mother, three brothers: Brian and his wife Linda of Fundy Park Rd. Fred and his wife Karen of Sussex, Brent and his friend Brad Phillips of Saint John; four sisters: Linda Justason and her husband Mike of Jemseg, Sandra MacDonald and her husband Bruce of Saint John, Carol Wheaton of Saint John, Heather Chetley and her husband Jamie of Sussex; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Kirk enjoyed going for drives, the outdoors, working in the woods, his vegetable garden and volunteering at the Sussex Sharing Club. He could be seen anywhere in the area on his million dollar bike, picking up recyclables and being around Norrad's Bottle Exchange. Kirk was kind hearted and would give the shirt off his back. He will be fondly remembered for his grin and great sense of humor by his family and friends. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex,. The Funeral Service will held from Wallace Community Chapel on Thursday, February 1, 2007 at 11:00 am and the interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Park in the spring. Donations made to the Living Memorial Would be appreciated by the family.
