Obituary of Willis Brighton

Willis Frederick Brighton of Wards Creek, NB passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on December 14, 2006 at the age of 54. Born in Sussex, NB on October 14, 1952, he was the son of the late Alex Brighton and Mrs. Jean (Inkpen) Brighton of Sussex. Willie is survived by his mother; two sisters: Marie Watkins and her husband John of Sussex, Rose Brighton and her fiancee Ron McShane of Lower Millstream; his nieces and nephews: Kim Forgrave and her husband Rick, Tony Watkins and his wife Krista and Jamie Watkins all of Sussex, Paula Walsh and her husband Mark of Saint John, Tina Mitton and her husband Doug of Sussex; as well as several great nieces and nephews: Caja, Joshua, Noah, Tyrel, Jonathon, Joey, Kayla, Sara and Ryan. He will also be greatly missed by his friend, Don Barrett. Willis was predeceased by his father Alex Brighton who passed away June 27, 1988. Willis was also known as Willie or Will. He loved being around people and chatting on the phone. He loved his family and really enjoyed family gatherings. Will was an animal lover and enjoyed fishing and hunting when his health was good. He always loved Sunday drives with mom and hardly missed a Tuesday night on the Cumberland Road visiting Walter and Linda Tabor. He called Uncle Del every morning at 8:00 am and every evening at 8:00 pm. Willie was a man of few words but a man with many friends. He enjoyed bugging the living daylights out of Mike and Jack at the Co-op gas bar or calling Charles and Robin Anderson to see if the barn work or haying was done on time.
