Obituary of Alexander Robinson
Mr. "Alex" Alexander John Robinson of Sussex Corner, NB, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on November 26, 2006 at the age of 94. Born in Upper Wards Creek NB on August 14, 1912, he was the son of the late James and Sarah (Virtue) Robinson and the beloved husband of the late Vivian (Wallace) Robinson who passed away in 1994. Alex is survived by 3 sons; John of Trenton, Ont., Ralph of Wards Creek, Jim and his wife Lara of Sussex Corner, his brother, Donald and his wife Elsie of Lower Cove; 4 sisters; Mary Ryan of Moncton, Myrna Martin of Hammond River, Edith Armstrong of Sussex, Glenna Starky of Newtown, 9 grandchildren; David, Michael, Chantal, Emily, Jeff, Robert, David, Danny and Darrell, 10 great grandchildren; Samantha, Drayk, Isabella, Cody, Robyn, Leah, Taylor, Aiden, Kaleb, and Liam, as well as several nieces and nephews. Alex was predeceased by 2 brothers; Murray and Noble and by 3 sisters; Lilly, Dolly, Eurilla and his half sister, Mona MacDonald. Alex served over seas during WWII as an Engineer in the Canadian Army, he was also a heavy equipment operator and mechanic. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). Visitation will be held at Wallace Funeral Home on Monday 2-4, 7-9 pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #20 will hold a tribute Monday Evening at 6:45pm The Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at 10:00 am. The interment will take place at Trinity Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations made to Living Memorial would be appreciated by the family.
