Obituary of Joyce Doreen Hall
Joyce was born on November 12, 1953 in Sussex, NB and was the daughter of Frank and Edna "Georgie" (Gregg) Alward.
She had a brother Frank that she was very close to and she took care of him a lot. She protected him by putting magazines in his pants if she knew he was going to get a spanking.
Joyce married Roy in 1972 and they went on to have two beautiful children, Rhonda and Kevin. They were best friends and soul mates, doing everything together. She loved fishing and motor bike driving. Joyce loved being with her children and her grandchildren and was interested in all that was happening in their lives.
Joyce worked at different restaurants as a cook. She cooked at Rory's and stayed there through three shutdowns. She also cooked at Fergie's, Zack's and McGinny's pub where she made many lifelong friendships.
Joyce was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be remembered as a kind and loving person.
She fought a valiant fight with her disease and now she is at peace. Joyce will be lovingly remembered by her husband Roy; her daughter Rhonda Howe and Jeff of Mount Middleton; her son Kevin Hall and Amy Flynn of Penobsquis; seven grandchildren: Dustin, Maria, Tyson, Corey, Rebecca, Ashley and Bailey; two sisters: Loretta Maillet of Moncton and Dorothy Wright (Jack) of Chipman; her special aunt Elsie Dyer and Daryl Belding of Smith Creek, her long time friends Roy and Dale Patterson, her sister-in-law Yvonne Lavoie of Smith Creek; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joyce is predeceased by her brother Frank Alward in January of this year, three nephews and one niece.
