Obituary of Shirley Almon
Mrs. Shirley Irene Almon of Knightville, NB, passed away at Sussex Health Centre on November 20, 2006 at the age of 67. Born in Cedar Camp, NB on October 9, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Etta (Kyle) Richardson.
Shirley was a former custodian at the Sussex High School, and had been employed with the Pine Cone Motel and Lewis Bakery. She enjoyed her flower Garden, Bingo, Crafts and Playing Cards.
Shirley is survived by her beloved husband Lloyd "Bud" Almon, two daughters: Debbie Melvin and her husband Myles of Newtown, Barb Riley and Mario Tanguay of Sussex; two sons: Bryant Almon and Cindy Wood, Jack Almon and his wife Pam all of Knightville; five sisters: Mary Richardson and Bertha Garland both of Sussex, Nancy Hazelwood and her husband Paul of O'Neil Rd., Jeannie Foley and her husband Greg of Snider Mountain, Hazel Evoy and her husband Earl of Ontario; four brothers: Weldon and his wife Hilda of Waterford, Walter and his wife Cora of Dutch Valley, Clarence and his wife Verna of Waterford, James of Waterford; six grandchildren: Steven, Tracey, Melissa, Jessica, Jacalynn & Rebbeca, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Shirley was predeceased by two brothers: George and Dallas and by her sister Dorothy Richardson. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Tuesday 2-4, 7-9 pm.
The Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at 11:00 am with Rev. Dr. Leo Gallant officiating. Interment will take place at Gosline Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations made to the Living Memorial would be appreciated by the family.
