Grace Blanche Johnston of Bayview Special Care Home, Kars, NB, passed away peacefully to her reward at her residence on Friday October 20, 2006 at the age of 90. Born in Dunsinene, NB on July 7, 1916, she was the daughter of the late George B. and Blanche (McNair) Johnston. Grace is survived by her brother; Murray and Erna of Riverview, as well by her nephews; Glendon and Wayne Tait of Jordon Mountain and by a host of good friends who will certainly miss her. Grace was of deep religious convictions and was greatly devoted to home and family. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers: George and Frank Johnston, and by her sister, Mary Tait. Grace was of deep religious convictions and was greatly devoted to home and family. She was highly educated. She graduated from Jordan Mountain School and continued her education at the Provincial Normal School, Mount Allison University, University of New Brunswick and Acadia University and received her BA and BEd degrees. She taught 25 successful years in the public schools of New Brunswick. However, after 1967, Grace decided to remain at home due to the failing health of her parents.
