Obituary of Frances Goggin
Mrs. Frances Naomi Goggin of Pro Tem Health Services, Moncton, and formerly of the Head of Millstream, NB, passed away at her residence on October 9, 2006, born in Head of Millstream, NB on December 20, 1919, she was the daughter of the late William Joseph and Julia (Dubee) Parlee and the beloved wife of the late Murray E. Goggin who passed away in 1999. Frances is survived by two daughters: Susan Miller and Curt Welch of Moncton, Janet Robinson and her husband Doug of Sackville, NB; four sons: John and his wife Linda of Fredericton, Bob and his wife Marielle of Fredericton, Ken and his wife Mary of Fredericton, Stephen and his wife Judy of Edmonton, Alberta; two sisters: Theresa Fair of Head of Millstream, Ida Mason of Sussex; her brother; Murray and his wife Dorothy of Belleisle; her sister-in-law, Clara Folkins of Sussex; 14 Grandchildren: Tim, Robert, Heather, Ashley, Kristine, Daniel, Michael, Kelli, Jennifer, Peter, Thomas, Brian, Connor, Riley; 3 step-grandchildren: Laura, Joel and Jebb; 2 great-grandchildren: Josie and Rhys; as well as several nieces and nephews. Frances was predeceased by her brothers: William and Charles Parlee; her sister, Mary Young, her son-in-law, Jerry Miller who passed away in 1993 and her daughter-in-law, Bonnie (Connors) Goggin who passed away in 1994. Frances was a very gentle lady who was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She always felt she was in heaven when she was in the Millstream. She kept herself involved with her family and her many friends. She loved to travel with Murray, play cards, crafts, hook rugs, animals, her flower gardens, and her dog Ginger and her cat Mandy. She was a past member of Maple Leaf Seniors, the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Moncton Branch # 6, a former teacher of Geri Fitness and a past member of the St. Phillips Cemetery Board. She was a member of St. Phillips Roman Catholic Church. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, October 12, 2006 at 10:00 am followed by a time of fellowship with the family in the Church Hall. The interment will take place at St. Phillips Roman Catholic Cemetery.
