Obituary of Donald Murray

Mr. Donald Richard Murray of Royal Court, Riverview, formerly of Penobsquis, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at the age 89.

Born in Penobsquis on December 16, 1916, he was the son of the late Walter S. and Alberta P. (McQuinn) Murray and the beloved husband of the late Doris Louise (McCready) who passed away in 2004.

Don was former President of Murray Enterprises; he was an Honorary Deacon and member of the Penobsquis United Baptist Church where he was a member of the choir and Sunday School Teacher for many years. Don was a member and Past President of Cardwell Cemetery and Cardwell Seniors Club.

Don is survived by his daughter, Donna Stultz and her husband Thomas of Hunter's Home, NB; three sons, Edwin and his wife Donna of Penobsquis, John and his wife Nancy of Penobsquis, Gary and his wife Patsy of Cassidy Lake; four brothers, Ronald (Jack) and his wife Mabel of Sussex; Stuart of Sussex Corner; David and his wife Kathleen of Halifax; Clifford and his wife Ethelyn of Penobsquis; his sister, Elizabeth A. Pickle of Virginia, USA. 13 Grandchildren, Rod and his wife Connie, Krista and her husband Christian, Tim and his wife Candi, Jodi, Sheri and her husband John, Shelly and her husband Dan, Richard and his wife Angela, Jennifer and her husband Bill, Peter, Heather and her husband Barry, Lesley, Paula and her husband James and Damon, 25 Great Grandchildren, Kaleigh, Corey, Anna, Kirsti, Thomas, Jack, Andrew, Shaun, Lewis, Justin, Michael, Kristen, Rebekah, Brandon, Duncan, Caleb, Sumner, Thomas, Alison, Brian, Keegan, Kennedy, Tyler, Kelsey, Jared, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, and (506-433-1176). Visitation will be held at Wallace Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Penobsquis United Baptist Church on Friday, July 14th, 2006 at 11:00 am.

The interment will take place at Cardwell Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations made to the memorial of the donor
