Obituary of Donald Tays
Mr. Donald George Tays of 596 Waterford Road, Waterford, NB passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on June 16, 2006 at the age of 63.
Born in Passekeag on August 8, 1946, he was the son of the late Gordon and Ruth (Reid) Tays.
Don is survived by Willa (Dalling) his beloved wife of 42 years, four sons, Kevin and his wife Lorraine of Wards Creek, Mark and his wife Rhonda of Moncton, Rodney and his wife Angie of Calgary, Alberta, David and his wife Kelly of Waterford. He is also survived by three sisters, Erma Gilchrist and her husband Jim of Norton, Thelma Bowes and Owen Herbison of Ontario and Marilyn Witt and her husband Mark of Sussex, two brothers, Gordon and his wife Pat of Saint John, Allison and Shirley Holder of Red Dear Alberta, his brother-in-law Floyd Luttnell and his wife Marion of Quispamsis, 10 grandchildren, Mathew, Ryan, Stephanie, Michael, Ryan, Kelsey, Andrew, Bowen, Bailey and Taylor, as well as many nieces and nephews,
Don was predeceased by his sister Lorna and by his brother Harold.
Don was a hard working man with a great love for his wife Willa and his family. He was proud of his four boys and greatly enjoyed his ten grandchildren. He worked most of his life as a carpenter and lived many years in his house he built in Waterford. He loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed conversing with friends and family. He was much loved by his family and will be greatly missed.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm .
The Funeral Service will be from Faith Bible Baptist Fellowship on Tuesday, June 20th, 2006 at 10:00 am. There will be a time of fellowship with the family in the Church Hall following a private family internment at Trinity Cemetery.
