Obituary of Floyd Wiggins
Mr. Floyd Hubert Wiggins of 9127 Rte. 112 Coles Island, NB passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on May 12, 2006 at the age of 61. Born in Coles Island, NB on September 19, 1944, he was the son of the late Hubert G. and Freda (Kierstead) Wiggins.
Floyd retired from the Department of Transportation as a Highway Supervisor. Over the years Floyd worked with Phillips Construction, Chown Enterprises, New Yorker Boiler and also owned and operated Floyd H. Wiggins Portable Welding. He loved to laugh, hunt, tinker, build and work with his hands on all types of equipment, the outdoors, four wheeling, his job and the people he worked with. Floyd loved and was very proud of his children and grandson. He was in his element when he was outside, he loved hunting with Matt and spent many hours in his tree stand in Canaan. He enjoyed his trips to Tim Horton's with his buddy Currie. Floyd was a jack of all trades, loved a challenge, spending time with Barry, going for drives, tending his bird houses. Floyd had a tendency to be a little on the stubborn side, although he never thought so, it was always in a loving way and most of the time for the best. He fought a long courageous battle with Cancer, thankful for each day he was given and never once complained. He was a very strong man with a big heart and was loved dearly.
Floyd is survived by his beloved wife, Hazel Irene (Ryder) Wiggins, his daughter, Wendy Perry and her husband Barry of Coles Island, his son, Matt and his wife Natalie of Fredericton, two sisters, Dale Springer of Dorchester, Marlene Duffy and her husband Wally of Fredericton, four brothers, Randy Springer and his wife Sheila of Saint John, Gary Wiggins and his wife Debbie of Dorchester, Bill Springer and his wife Susan of Sackville, Richard Springer and his wife Belinda of Sackville, his grandson, Eric, as well as several nieces and nephews.
