Mr. Ira Charles Smith of Lower Millstream, NB passed away at his residence on April 7, 2006 at the age of 98. Born in Penobsquis, NB on September 8, 1907, he was the son of the late Charles and Henrietta (Whitnect) Smith. Ira is survived by 3 brothers; Richard (Dick), Les and his wife Ethel and Fred and his wife Marg all of Sussex, as well as several nieces and nephews. Ira was predeceased by three brothers; Len, Frank and Gordon and by his sister Florence. Ira was a retired lumberman. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation Tuesday April 11, 2006 from 10:00am till the time of service. The Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Today, April 11, 2006 at 11:00 am with Pastor Gordon MacKenzie officiating. The interment will take place at Gosline Cemetery.
