Obituary of Stewart McFarlane

Mr. Stewart Robert McFarlane of 45 Lowell Street, Sussex, New Brunswick passed away at Sussex Health Centre on March 7, 2006 at the age of 82.

Born in Markhamville, New Brunswick on April 8, 1923, he was the son of the late Stanley and Sarah (Pollock) McFarlane and the beloved husband of the late Dorothy I. (Price) McFarlane who passed away in 2005.

Stewart was a member of St. Paul's United Church and retired from Thompson Construction for over 25 years.

Stewart is survived by his daughter, Anne Marie LeBlanc and her husband Dave of Moncton, two sons, Rodney of Sussex and Ronald and his wife Chris of Nepean, Ontario, two brothers, Leon McFarlane and his wife Reta of Waterford and Raymond McFarlane and Jane of Sussex, four sisters, Greta Adair of Waterford, Marguerite Keys of Sussex, Lois Esmond and her husband Dennis of British Columbia and Helen McLeod of Quispamsis, six grandchildren, Benjamin LeBlanc, Joshua McFarlane of Calgary, Katelyn and Connor McFarlane of Sussex, Spencer and Emma McFarlane of Nepean, Ontario, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Stewart was predeceased by two brothers, Milford and John and his two sisters, Vivian and Ruby.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). Visitation will be held at Wallace Funeral Home on Friday 2-4, 7-9 pm.

The Funeral Service will be held from St. Paul's United Church on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Philip Dallimore officiating.

The interment will take place at Trinity Cemetery in the spring.
