Obituary of Frank Cole
Mr. Frank Charles Cole of Nelson Street, Sussex, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday, February 17th, 2006 at the age of 79. Born in Isle Maligne, Quebec on November 26, 1926, he was the son of the late Elmer and Dorothy (Taylor) Cole. Frank is survived by his wife Eileen, his son Elmer and his wife Kathy of Sussex Corner, four daughters; Barb Guptill and her husband Barry of Drurys Cove, Susan MacKenzie and her husband Ken of Ajax, On, Margaret Kyle and her husband Roy of Apohaqui and Sandra Cole of Sussex Corner, his step-daughter Pat Alexander and Rick Hopper of Penobsquis, his step-son James Alexander and Marilyn Watt of Edmonton, AB, two brothers; Phillip and his wife Jo of Kingston, On, Bliss and his wife Eileen of Saint John, seven sisters; Beatrice Anderson, Isabel Masters, Verna Pearson and her husband Ken, Shirley Hicks, Betty Mason and Marjorie Arsenault all of Sussex and Gladys Parisi and her husband Alex of Grants Pass, Oregon, 16 grandchildren; Keith, Neil, Jeff, Jason, Jimmy, Michael, Christopher, David, Jonathan, Samantha, Amanda, Natalie, Christopher, Cody, Brandon and Michael, 17 great-grandchildren; Jennifer, Kraig, Jessica, Tess, Kaya, Ryan, Sam, Jake, Maykala and Austin, Madison, Matthew, Andrew, Marcus, Michaela, Bridget and Katie, as well as several nieces and nephews Frank was a retired self employed painter. He was a 50 year member and past president of the Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch #20, where he was also a part time Bartender. He loved his family and the outdoors. He enjoyed long drives in the country, camping, hunting and fishing. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). Visitation will be held at Wallace Funeral Home on Sunday, February 19th, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch #20 will hold a tribute on Sunday evening at 6:45pm The Funeral Service will be held from St. John's United Church, Sussex Corner on Monday, February 20th at 2:00pm followed by the interment in Gosline Cemetery, Knightville. There will be a time of fellowship with the family at the St. John's United Church Hall following the Committal Service
