Mr. Vernon Douglas Leach of 25 High Street, Sussex, passed away at Jordon Memorial Home on January 30, 2006 at the age of 83. Born in Sussex, NB on May 23, 1922, he was the son of the late Robert and Mildred (McArthur) Leach. Vernon is survived by his beloved wife Dorothy Louise (Smith) Leach. Vernon was predeceased by his brothers, Robert Jr. and Lloyd and his sister, Violet Smith. Vernon worked at Sussex Ginger Ale until they closed. He retired from Department of Transportation as a night watchman. Vernon enjoyed bowling and hockey. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place at Kirk Hill Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations made to the Kiwanis Nursing Home or to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
