Obituary of Treva Marks

Treva was born in Curryville on February 15, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Evans and Edwina (Fenton) Smith and was the wife of the late Russell George Marks who passed away in 2011. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Treva was a housewife and affiliated with the Portage Vale and Penobsquis United Baptist Churches. She will live on in the hearts of her two daughters: Judy Dunnett and her husband Edgar of Bathurst, Diane Fletcher and her husband David of Middle Sackville, NS; her son: Clifford Marks and his wife Barbara of Fredericton; her sister: Helen Richardson of Upper Coverdale; her sister-in law, Lillian Smith of Riverview and her brother-in-law Harold Carr of Tracy, eight grandchildren: Bill Marks and his wife Sandy of Toronto, Bryan Marks and his wife Moira of Halifax, Jay Fletcher and his wife Lynn of Quispamsis, Troy Fletcher and his wife Ceri of Montaque, PEI, Joanne Hall and her husband Peter of Lower Sackville, NS, Andre Dubé and his wife Lucinda of Timberlea, Jean-Paul Dubé and his wife Leisa of Baxters Corner, Denise Logan and her husband Wesley of Grand Bay Westfield; 12 great grandchildren: Matthew, Julia, Paige, Nicholas, Jax, Caden, Sophie, Louise, Andre, Christopher, Everard and Brandon; as well as several nieces and nephews. Treva is predeceased by her great grandson Benjamin Logan, her sisters: Glendine Smith and Evelyn Carr; her brothers: Ivan, Orville, Milford and Alvin Smith; two brothers-in-law: Murray Smith and Gilbert Richardson and three sisters-in-law: Jean, Dorothy and Eunice Smith. Mrs Treva Hazel Marks of Mountainside Lodge Fredericton formerly of Sussex Corner passed away at her residence on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at the age of 91. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held. A Celebration of Treva's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel at a time and date to be announced. The interment will take place at Pioneer Cemetery. www.wallacefuneralhome.com
