Obituary of Clifford Slocum
Mr. Clifford Daniel Slocum of Waterborough, NB, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on January 10, 2006 at the age of 75. Born in Blair, Queens Co., New Brunswick on June 8, 1930, he was the son of the late Daniel and Alice (Jeffery) Slocum. Clifford is survived by his beloved wife Mary Easton (Nairn) Slocum, four daughters, Christine Morton and her husband Daryl of Rothesay, Wendy Reese of Quispamsis, Elaine Vincent and her husband Eric of Quispamsis, Debbie Slocum of Union Settlement, three sons, Daryl and Marlene of Bagdad, Gerald and his wife Judi of Chipman, Brian and Linda of Union Settlement, and son-in-law, Howard Reece of Saint John, two sisters, Kathleen Orchard of Waterborough, Doris Stilwell of Saint John, 14 grandchildren, Scott, Jeff, Michael, Randy, Kayla, Gregory, Jill, Bradley, Katelyn, Allisha, Shane, Lisa, Joshua and Daniel, nine great grandchildren, Aidan, Dylan, Braydon, Tyonna, Wyatt, Miranda, Mikayla, Devon and Jayden, as well as several nieces and nephews. Clifford was predeceased by his brother Lloyd and his sister Marjorie Burke. Clifford worked many years with Modern Construction, Irving Oil and Department of Transportation Waterborough. He was a member of Waterborough Legion Branch # 60 and played on the dart league. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). Visitation will be held at Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church, 489 Main Street, Sussex on Thursday 2-4, 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be from St. Lukes Anglican Church on Friday, January 13, 2006 at 3:00 pm. Interment will take place at St. Lukes Anglican Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy donations made to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
