Obituary of James Mason
Mr. James Warren Mason of Watertown, Massachusetts, passed away at his residence on September 7, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in the Head of Millstream, NB on February 14, 1931, he was the son of the late Malcolm and Mary Alice (Miller) Mason. He is survived by Leona M. (McMillan) his beloved wife, 2 sons, Jamie of Fox Hill and Michael and his wife Mary of Lawrence, Mass. 2 brothers, Kenneth and his wife Doris of Berwick and (Mac) Malcolm and his wife Verna of Cody's, 5 grandchildren: Jay and Mark Mason of Ashby, Mass, Krystal and Allison Mason of Berwick and Devin Dyer of Alston, Mass, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. James was predeceased by 3 brothers, Hartley, Stanley and Leslie James was educated in Sussex, NB. He was a resident of Watertown, Massachusetts for the past 40 years. He was a former floor sander for Murray and Mack Cooper and a retired Housekeeper for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston for over 22 years. James always enjoyed coming back to New Brunswick for a few weeks in the spring and fall. He loved to hunt and enjoyed his camp where he loved having visitors and playing cards with them. He also loved watching baseball and hockey games. He had a very determined spirit, and dealt with his illness in a very positive way. He accepted things as they were which made it easier on his family. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Tuesday from 7-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at 10:00am, with the Interment at St. Phillip's Roman Catholic Cemetery in the Head of Millstream As an expression of sympathy donations made to Hospice or to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
