Obituary of Howard Lounsbury
Mr. Howard E. Lounsbury of Kiwanis Nursing Home formerly Plumweseep, N.B. passed away at his residence on July 30, 2005 at the age of 88. Born in Parkendale, NB on April 8, 1917, he was the son of the late Herbert Spencer and Lydia (Geldart) Lounsbury . Howard is survived by Doris L. (Ryder) Lounsbury his beloved wife of 47 years, 2 sons; George and his wife Barbara of New Westminister, BC, and Douglas of Toronto, his brother Jimmy and his wife Shirley of Moncton, sister-in- law Joyce Lounsbury of Petawawa Ontario, as well as several nieces and nephews. Howard was predeceased by his first wife Eileen (Vincent) Lounsbury who passed away in 1952, 4 brothers; Donald, Kenneth, Bert and Elton and by 2 sisters; Dorothy and Thelma. Howard was a wonderful worker and a very talented Carpenter. He only used the best of wood and always took great pride in all that he made, never taking short cuts or cutting corners. He was truly a fine craftsman. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Monday evening from 7-9pm, and on Tuesday 2-4, 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held from St. Paul's United Church on Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 11:00 am. The interment will take place at Elmwood Cemtery, Moncton at 1:30 pm. As an expression of sympathy donations made to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
