Obituary of Ethel Stanwix
Mrs. Ethel Mae Stanwix of 51 Peter Street, Sussex, N.B. passed away at Saint John Regional Hospital on July 6, 2005 at the age of 91. Born in Hillsdale New Brunswick on May 21, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Margaret (Melvin) O'Dell and the wife of the late Roy Hall who passed away in 1966 and the late John Stanwix who passed away in 1977 Ethel is survived by her children, Gladys Veysey and Clifford Tabor both of Sussex, two grandchildren, Judy Doucett and her husband Jerry and Paul Veysey and his wife Lynn, two great grandchildren, Brandy Doucett and Sabrina Steeves and her husband Roy, her great-great grandson, Logan Steeves as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Ethel was also predeceased Gladys and Clifford's father, Esmond Tabor who passed away in 1986 and by her half sister Beatrice Grant. Ethel was a member of the Sussex United Baptist Church, and the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch # 20. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). At Ethel's request there will be no visitation. The Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Saturday, July 9, 2005 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Michael Hutton officiating. The interment will take place at Kirk Hill Cemetery. There will be a time of fellowship with the family at Wallace Funeral Home following the service. Donations made to the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal or to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
