Mr. Leon 'Johnny' Steen of Apohaqui, New Brunswick, passed away at Sussex Health Centre on June 2, 2005 at the age of 84. Born in Head of Millstream, New Brunswick on December 11, 1920, he was the son of the late Henry Allen and Amy Grace (Hutchins) Steen. Johnny is survived by his beloved wife Elizabeth (Lizzie) A (Wood), 4 daughters, Nora Mitton and her husband Danny of Hampton, Betty Steen and Malcolm of Cambridge, Bonnie Steen and Darren of Alberta, Heidi Stanford and her husband Duane of Snider Mountain, 4 sons, Kennie and Shirley of Chatham, Peter and his wife Karen of Petitcodiac, Bobby and his wife Linda of Norton, Billy and his wife Mildred of Apohaqui, 13 Grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Johnny was predeceased by 2 brothers Guy and Earl and his 9 sisters, Rhoda, Ruby, Cora, Sylvia, Myrtle, Phyllis, Ethel Crawford, Pearl Whitehouse and Verna Currie. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Friday 2-4, 7-9. The Funeral Service will be from Calvary Pentecostal Church on Saturday, June 4, 2005 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Troy Campbell officiating. Interment at Riverbank Cemetery.
