Mrs. Alice May Burgess of 53 St. George Street, Sussex, New Brunswick passed away at her residence, on May 30, 2005 at the age of 101. Born in Lisson Settlement, New Brunswick on November 22, 1903, she was the daughter of the late Thomas H. and Mabel (Robinson) Wilkins and the beloved wife of the late Kendall B. Burgess who passed away in 1957. Alice is survived by her brother, Elmer Wilkins and his wife Phyllis of Sussex, her sister-in-law, Mary Wilkins of Markhamville, as well as several nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by 4 sisters, Ethel, Edith, Helen and Mildred and by her brother, Russell Alice resided in the Boston area most of her life. She was a retired underwriter for Artright Insurance Co. in Waltham, Mass. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Thursday, June 2, 2005 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Philip Dallimore. Interment at Trinity Cemetery. There will be a time of fellowship with the family at the Funeral Home following the committal service. As an expression of sympathy donations made to the Sussex Health Centre Dialysis Fund would be appreciated by the family.
