Obituary of Frank Baxendale
Mr. Frank Baxendale of Sussex, NB passed away at Sussex Health Centre on May 12, 2005 at the age of 78, he was born in Hamilton, Ontario on February 20, 1927, the son of the late John and Millicent (Rodgers) Baxendale. Frank is survived by June (Hodson) his beloved wife of 56 years, his daughter Kristie Alcock and her husband Deon of Sussex Corner, his sons David and his wife Tracy of Fox Hill, Vince and his wife Tammy of Moncton, 6 grandchildren, Brooke, Bret, Jade, Chelsea, Reese and Dallas, 6 nieces and nephews. Frank was the last surviving member of his immediate family, he was predeceased by his brother John in 1979. Frank was the former co-owner of Sussex Cheese and Butter. He was past president and charter member of the Sussex Rotary Club and past president of the Fundy Regional Development Corporation and retired as the Executive Vice President of Barbour Foods. Frank had an incredible sense of humor, he loved jokes and loved to share them even more. Frank was a huge sports fan, he favored the Red Sox and St. Louis Cardinals, but his greatest love was participating in any sport his kids were playing. He would often travel to see them play hockey or run a marathon. He gave of himself to his family, his career and his community.
