Obituary of Kathleen Currie
Kathleen Margaret Rose Currie, of Cherryvale, NB, passed away at Cornhill on July 22, 2004 at the age of 82. Kay was born in Liversedge, England on November 11, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Elsie (Hepworth) Dorrington and the beloved wife of the late Harold R.G. Currie who passed away in 1989. Kay is survived by her 2 Daughters; Linda Bates and her husband Rick of Belleisle, and Karen Paterson and her husband Jamie Corey of Cornhill, 14 Grandchildren Adam, Amanda, Sarah, Stephanie, Amy and her husband Carl, Misty and Chris, Dale and his wife Kenda, Dwight and his wife Melissa, Rodney and his wife Vicki, Jackie, Kim, Stephen, Lynn and her husband Don and Linda and her husband Dale, 20 great grandchildren, Rayelle, Kali, Robert, Nicholas, Rebecca, Brandon, Kristopher, Tara, Scott, Tamara, George, Ryan, Josh, Brian, Michael, Brady, Blake, MacKenzie, Tina and Wesley,Son-In-Law Ellery McKay of Cherryvale, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Carol, and her brother Rhys Dorrington Kay was a member of the New Canaan United Baptist Church, she loved gardening, hooking rugs, watching hockey and making quilts for her children and grandchildren. She was a sponsor for World Vision for 15 years. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), with visitation on Saturday 7-9. The Funeral Service will be held from New Canaan Baptist Church on Sunday, July 25, 2004 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jeff Benson officiating. Interment at Canaan Cemetery.
