Mrs. Gladys Emily Pierce of the Kiwanis Nursing Home and formerly of Floral Ave., Sussex, passed away at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on June 26, 2004 at the age of 93. Born in Annidale, NB on November 20, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Bertha (Bernard) Connell and the wife of the late Ronald Gordon Pierce who passed away in 1984. Gladys is survived by 2 daughters; Dianne Pierce of Sussex and Susan Uibel of St. Petersburg Florida, her brother Cedric Connell and his wife Doris of Cody's and her sister Lillie Owens of Sussex, as well as several nieces and nephews Gladys was predeceased by 5 brothers; Vernon, Harold, Gordon, Arnold, Lloyd, and by her sister Helen Gladys was she former employee of T.E. Eaton Co. in Moncton, a member of Trinity Anglican Church, she loved to knit and sew. She was a very good mother and will greatly missed by her family Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). The Funeral Service will be from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Monday, June 28, 2004 at 11:00 am. With the interment at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens, Moncton.
