Obituary of Kenneth Gulliver

Ken Gulliver was born on September 14, 1956 in Hamilton, Ontario, he was the son of Margaret (Black) of Ontario and the late Douglas Gulliver. Ken was brought up by his grandparents, Ira and Margaret (McFarlane) Gulliver. He was a die hard Toronto Maple Leafs fan; he liked football and doing puzzles. He worked as a laborer at various jobs. Ken was a Master Corporal at the 8th Canadian Hussars B Squadron. He was very proud of his uncle Ira because of his involvement in the Hussars and talked about him all the time. He was always friendly and outgoing and very well liked by his comrades. When on maneuvers and it was a rough day, he was always the one with a joke to boost the morale. Ken was loved by all who knew him. He would walk his niece to school but by the time they reached the school they would have had many other kids join them. Ken was kind, thoughtful and funny and will be missed. Ken is will live on in the hearts of his sister: Sylvia Harvey and her husband Gordon of Alberta; his brother Brian Gulliver and his wife Kim of Simco, ON; his Aunts: Audrey Cook and her husband Wally of Penobsquis and Lois Lynch and her husband Tom of Sussex Corner, his Aunt Jean Gould and his Uncle John Black. Ken will always be Uncle Ken to Debbie, Kenny, Devin, Justin, Kendal; half brother to Debbie, Nancy, Willie, John and Sarah; as well as several nieces, nephews; including: Gordon, Heather and Becky Harvey; cousins, aunts and uncles. Mr. Kenneth Douglas Gulliver of Lower Millstream passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on at the age of 55.
