Mrs. Myrtle Aleta Hilda Marie Lucas of 451 McGregor Brook Rd. Mt. Hebron, NB passed away at her residence on May 7, 2004 at the age of 76. Born in Port Greville, NS on May 19, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Hallie (Dow) Tippett and the beloved wife of the Late Albert Victor Lucas who passed away in 2002. Myrtle was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is predeceased by her sister Mable Gillis and by 6 brothers George, Lawson, Bill, Karl, Sidney, Cecil and her nephew Dougie. Myrtle is survived by her nieces and nephews; Ben, Sandy, Luanne, Ned, Fred, Gordon, Maggie, Barbie, Mamie, Betty, Linda, Nancy Edith and Gregory, her brother-in-law Bill Gillis of Halifax, her 4 sisters-in-law; Dorothy Tippett ,Beatrice Tippett-Trenholm and Trudi Tippett-Yeomans all of Saint John and Hazel Lucas of PEI. Myrtle was a devoted housewife who loved to play cards and yahtzee. She enjoyed Sewing and Quilting. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176). At Myrtle's request there will be no visitation. The Graveside Funeral Service will be from Kirk Hill Cemetery on Saturday, May 8, 2004 at 2:00 pm. Interment at Kirk Hill Cemetery.
