Obituary of Melbourne Adair
Melbourne Adair of Poodiac, NB, passed away at his residence on May 6, 2004 at the age of 80.
Born in Poodiac, NB on February 9, 1924, he was the son of the late George Esley and Verna May (Baxter)Adair. He was the husband of the late Eva Maude McGivery Adair, who passed away in 1976.
He was a retired farmer and lumberman
Melbourne is survived by his daughter, Ruby Rouse and Gary Janes of St. George, NB, his son Paul and his wife Dawn of Hammondvale, 2 brothers Hartley and his wife Betty Adair of Niagara Falls, Ontario and Otty Adair and his wife Hattie of Smiths Creek, 3 sisters, Lois DeVine of Hillsdale, Doris Payne of Hillsdale and Daisy McKenney of Hampton, 4 Grandchildren, Kim, Stephanie, David and Michael 5 great grandchildren; Joey, Nick, Morgan, Maggin and Christopher, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Melbourne was predeceased by his sister Ethel McGaghey, and his great granddaughter Courtney.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Dr. Sussex, where visitation will be held on Sunday 2-4, 7-9pm.
The Funeral service is held from Wallace Memorial Chapel on Monday May 10th, 2004 at 10:00am with Rev. Allen Tapley officiating. The interment will be in Trinity Cemetery, Sussex Corner. There will be a time of fellowship with the family at the St. John Centre Sussex Corner following the committal.
